In 2016 we embarked on a ‘street photography’ project. This involved taking Editorial photography of race goers in Chester.
People going to and returning from Chester Races. There has been a lot of media coverage of people not looking their best when leaving the races. This is not surprising after a long day ‘studying form’. We loved shooting editorial photography of race goers in Chester. Everyone was friendly.
Our project was to simply take candid pictures. Candid pictures of people having a great time. We wanted to capture lots of smiles. There was a lot of dancing in the street. We managed to capture the occasional image that could be referred to as ‘social comment’.
We photographed every meeting in Chester. This is only a small sample of the images. We have enough photographs to make a fabulous exhibition. If you have any ideas where we could exhibit please get in touch.
What equipment did we use for our editorial photography of race goers in Chester ?
We used our lovely little Fuji XT1. This is a great little camera to use unobtrusively. The quality is amazing.
